Anatomy of a Libel Case: Business vs. the Media
(1985)

The two hour program on the way business and the media sometimes find themselves in a confrontation that is ultimately played out in a court of law. At stake is balancing a person's right to his or her good name against the American public's need to know important facts about its public officials and crucial issues. What emerges in the course of the program is a road map of a libel suit. The panel includes journalists, heads of major corporations, and members of the legal profession such as Judge Arlin M. Adams of the U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit; David Rosenthal of Rollingstone Magazine, Richard Wald of ABC News, Morley Safer of 60 Minutes and Herbert Schmertz of Mobile Oil Corp.
